My story for this painting is about desire paths or desire lines, as they are more formally known in urban planning. They are well worn pedestrian pathways that are created by many individuals taking a short cut. There are many desire path names, some are free will way, social trail, game trail, use trail, bootleg trail, and even pirate path. In creating this painting, from an aerial perspective I found many paths emerging all on their own. The beauty of abstract art.
