Flutter By
With worldwide biodiversity on the decline Flutter By depicts an anthropomorphized Caribou pausing to admire a Monarch butterfly. These two endangered creatures who may never meet again are forced to face the reality to their own existence and the potential future that awaits their species.

Set inside of a Walnut wood cookie to symbolize time, this piece is separated by alternating layers of acrylic paint and resin spanning 1" in depth to symbolize preservation. Two key components necessary for their survival.
This piece will not be included in the physical exhibition on Granville Island but meets the quality standards of the FCA and is classified as, "Recognized Artwork."
