During the Gezi Park demonstrations, the youth protested against the oppressive Turkish state and its policies. The protest came to an end after violent suppression by the police. The protesters were named "The Gezi Generation." The disillusioned youth started dreaming of leaving the country. Our homeland was now beyond our reach. Nevertheless, our colours of hope and the forests of our paradise remains vivid in our minds.
