The mission of the FCA is to advance the knowledge and appreciation of art and culture to all Canadians, offering education, exhibition and communication in the Visual Arts, and to support and promote emerging to professional member artists.

Die Mission der FCA ist die Kenntnis und Wertschätzung über Kunst und Kultur bei allen Kanadiern zu vergrößern, indem Weiterbildung, Ausstellungen und Kommunikation rund um Bildende Kunst angeboten werden, und indem aufstrebende und professionelle Künstler unterstützt und gefördert werden.

The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a registered charity founded in 1941 by professional Canadian working artists including Group of Seven luminaries Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, and A.Y. Jackson. The first National Executive Council was led by Andre Bieler, and Lawren Harris was the BC region’s first Chairman. Other notable founding members included Emily Carr and the Honorable Mark Kearley.

Die Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA - Föderation der Kanadischen Künstler) ist eine eingetragene Wohltätigkeitsorganisation, 1941 durch hauptberuflich schaffende Künstler - unter anderem Group of Seven Mitglieder L. H., A. L. und A. Y. J. - gegründet. Der erste nationale geschäftsführende Vorstand wurde von A. B.geleitet, L. H. war der erste Vorsitzende in der Region British Columbia. Andere namhafte Gründungsmitglieder waren E. C. und M. K.

The FCA continues to operate as a registered charity with members throughout Canada and Chapters in Alberta and B.C.. The FCA is dedicated to raising artistic standards by stimulating participants to greater heights of knowledge and achievement by offering what is believed to be the first completely artists' sponsored gallery in Canada. Currently the Federation is the only national-level visual arts organization that manages their own full-time art gallery.

Die FCA ist weiterhin eine eingetragene Wohltätigkeitsorganisation mit Mitgliedern in ganz Kanada und Teilorganisationen in Alberta und British Columbia. Die FCA strebt mit den erzieherischen Workshops und der durch unsere Künstler getragenen Galerie, nach maximalem künstlerischen Anspruch.

The Federation Gallery Die Galerie des Verbandes

The Federation Gallery is located on Granville Island, in the heart of Vancouver's art and culture community. Our gallery features twice-monthly juried exhibitions of works by emerging and Signature members as well as three juried international open shows held annually; Painting on the Edge, the Annual International Representational Exhibition, and the Annual International Mail-in Art Exhibition.

Zur Zeit ist die Föderation die einzige Kunstorganisation auf nationaler Ebene, die ihre eigene Galerie hauptberuflich betreibt. Wir organisieren 25 Ausstellungen jährlich und machen damit der Öffentlichkeit jede 2. Woche neue Kanadische Kunst zugänglich. Alle Ausstellungsstücke sind im Vorfeld einer Kontrolle auf FCA Standards durch eine Fachkommission unterzogen worden.
